Rye is the first of the unique townships on the Mornington Peninsula that covers the width of the area from the Rye bay beach to the Rye ocean beach. The town is extremely popular during vacation periods and has a varied selection of eating establishments. In summer, the carnival comes to town and is located beside the Rye pier carpark.
Sorrento is a thriving seaside village celebrated by all ages. Retaining much of its heritage in the form of historic limestone buildings that line the main street, the village offers shopping that is stylish and sophisticated. Naturally, the cafes, restaurants, local produce stores and designer ice cream are superb.
