“Behind every great man is not a woman. She is beside him, she is with him, not behind him”
The woman in question is usually a wife or mother, and the suggestion is that no man gets to be “great” in a vacuum. Rather a woman has had a hand somewhere and somehow in the man’s success.
Amanda Owen is a case in point. With a strong background in small business having run her own retail sports store for 12 years, and as a licenced real estate agent in her own right, Amanda works beside her husband, O’Brien Real Estate agent Brendan Langley as his personal assistant.
As a husband and wife team, they complement one another exceptionally well. With her business background and a sound understanding of the real estate environment, Amanda is not only responsible for all Brendan’s office administration, but she also provides vital on the ground support by organising and running open inspections and assisting Brendan with property appraisals.
Clients appreciate Amanda’s attention to detail, her honesty, support and ability to put them at ease throughout the often stressful process of buying and selling property. She’s funny, thoughtful and known to go above and beyond for clients frequently helping to organise things such as garage sales.
Pakenham is home to Amanda, Brendan and their daughter, Alycia. Outside of work, Amanda is actively involved in her daughter’s school and with the Pakenham Show. She also enjoys reading and watching movies.

“Had my house on the market with another firm for over six months. Signed Brendan up and he sold it in 9 days with more than I expecting get. Great ideas and after sales service. Would recommend Brendan to anyone”. – Michael Deeker
