OBrien Real Estate sets leadership agenda at 2026 Bali conference

OBrien Real Estate brought its leaders together in Nusa Dua, Bali, for its 2026 Annual Leadership Conference, setting a clear direction for the year ahead under the theme “Advance & Challenge.”

Held from Sunday 17 to Wednesday 20 May, the conference united business owners, senior leaders and high-performing team members from across the network to reset focus, strengthen leadership standards and align around the next phase of growth.

Managing Director Dean O’Brien said the conference was about creating space for leaders to step away from the day-to-day pace of real estate and return with greater clarity.

“This conference was about sharpening the way we lead,” Mr O’Brien said.

“To advance, we must be prepared to challenge ourselves first. That means challenging how we lead, how we coach, how we communicate and how consistently we execute.”

A key highlight of the conference was a keynote session from Brendon Gale, CEO of the Tasmanian Devils and former Richmond Football Club chief executive, who shared insights on high-performance leadership, accountability, culture and long-term thinking.

The program also featured sessions from Johnny Bell and Brett Graham, who brought a practical industry focus to building stronger teams, improving execution and creating more resilient businesses.

Across the four days, attendees also heard from Samantha McLean, Steven Osborn, Steve Hughes, Paul Loftus, Simon Cashman and Milan Cooper, with each session reinforcing themes of adaptability, innovation, accountability and disciplined execution.

Mr O’Brien said the strength of the conference was its balance of inspiration and practical application.

“Our leaders need ideas they can take back into their offices and apply immediately,” he said.

“When people return with clearer priorities, stronger accountability and a renewed focus on the fundamentals, the whole business becomes stronger.”

For OBrien Real Estate, the Bali conference was a clear statement of intent around leadership, culture and performance.

“When we bring our leaders together, challenge each other and align around a shared direction, the whole network becomes stronger,” Mr O’Brien said.

“Our focus is on building stronger leaders, stronger teams and stronger outcomes for our clients.”
