Dave Began his Real Estate career in 1991, completed his Diploma of Real Estate Practice in 1995 and soon after was a finalist in the REIV Auctioneers competition that same year.
Recognising Dave’s passion for the Auction system and unique style of Auctioneering, he was approached by the Ray White Group to become their Chief Auctioneer and one of their Trainers. Dave held this position until 1999, before relocating to Brisbane due to family commitments and a thirst for new challenges.
Over the next 25 plus years, Dave took on many challenging roles, including being Director for Delfin Lend Lease’s Realty Operations throughout Queensland, owning and operating his own LJ Hooker business in the inner western suburbs of Brisbane, become a national regional trainer for the First National Group and then a move back into the Property developer’s arena becoming the Qld State Sales Manager for Devine Ltd.
Dave has also recently spent time overseas immersing in alternative cultures, exploring new markets and establishing relationships with Property Developers in Asia.
Now, in 2020, Dave has returned to where it all began some 29 years earlier, re-joining the family business, now known as OBrien Real Restate Clark.
“The family business has changed its name and affiliations over the past 30 years and I see this as progress. We must continually evolve in order to grow, striving to be the best and ahead of the competition. Failure to do this, is failure to grow and learn. I’m very proud of the way in which the business has managed to not only achieve this year after year, but whilst doing so, has managed to provide a good old fashioned, honest, professional and friendly service to the community. I’m excited to be finally back in my home town after all these years and am looking forward to applying the skills, knowledge and business acumen I have learned, for the benefit of all my clients.”
